Marvin Schnaufer

Marvin was born in the small city of Wittenberge as the youngest sibling next to his 3 sisters. His childhood was very calm as he stayed indoors, playing with the PS1 from his brother. In school he was also a quiet student that stayed out of most troubles whilst always focusing on himself.

When he was in 8th grade his class would make a trip to Berlin where they could check out all kinds of jobs and branches, one of the tables there was from the Waifuwehr which was Marvin’s first contact with the Army. It caught most of his interest which caused him to stay there most of the time, gathering a lot of information about what they are and do.

Returning back home again he talked with his Mother about it and she was no fan of it. It hit him hard to face the disapproval of his mother but a few days later when he was visiting his grandmother, Heidemarie Schnaufer. He told her about his plans to go to the Army and she was very supportive. She took him aside and got an old box out of one of her closets. Heidemarie showed Marvin pictures of her in her Uniform telling him a lot of stories of what she has seen, from the good and bad side.

When Marvin asked her what she did in the army she told him about how she was an elite Paratrooper but was mixed in a group of all kinds of different elite soldiers. She showed him a group picture of the squad but most of the heads were crossed out except for one. “All with a cross are already dead.” Marvin then noticed one that had a circle around them, asking about it. Heidemarie said: “That’s Emma, Emma Schmitz, one of them I used to joke around with a lot during trainings. However she went Missing in Action at one point and we couldn’t find her anymore.”

She also showed him her uniform and he was even allowed to wear it once. She put her hands on his shoulders and gave him the advice to finish his school with good grades and get a vocational training and then join the Army. With these words in mind he could feel the flame in his Heart ignite for the Waifuwehr. He finished school with good grades and started his work education as a shop assistant.

Once he finished his 3 years of apprenticeship he immediately applied for the Waifuwehr in the Feldwebel line. Going through all the Training he always kept in mind what his grandmother told him and so he fought through it. Once he passed basic training he managed to enter the Paratroopers just like his Grandmother. Marvin served for a couple of years until he applied for the Offizierslaufbahn. He became a Offiziersanwärter but it proved bigger of a challenge than he thought it would be. He was able to pass the Tests however but only by an inch.

Now a Leutnant he quickly got to his new Tasks. Whilst enjoying the Paratroopers a lot he looked up to the Pilots flying in the skies. He was allowed to join trainings for Helicopter Pilots. Marvin proved his flying skills to a higher rank in one of the Medical Evac Trainings. Soon to be a Stabshauptmann he heard from his mother that his grandmother was very ill. Taking a few days off to visit her in the Hospital. He told her about his journey in the Waifuwehr so far and she was proud that he got higher then she was able to, he also told her about his interest in being a Pilot.

His Grandmother just told him to follow his heart. After the visitor time was over he met his mother who yet highly disapproved about the Waifuwehr was proud of him that he made it this far. Returning to his base he heard that the Paratrooper moved into the DSK. As time passed by he got promoted to the rank of Major to his surprise.

While he enjoyed the work in the DSK and as a Paratrooper he heard that the Airforce is looking for new Pilots hence they’ve introduced a new squadron will be formed. He decided to transfer into the Airforce and apply for the new Jagdbombergeschwader 33. The Training for the Blackwasps was a challenge for him although he still managed to pass the training and is now allowed to fly the F-18 Blackwasps. To this day he is still a proud Pilot with the Heart of a Paratrooper and serves as the XO of the Jagdbombergeschwader 33.
