Alfredo Carpaneto II

Alfredo was born on the 1st of January 1995 in Milan between his father and mother, both of whom were third siblings in the family. He resembles his grandparents almost to a scary degree, so much so that the family resemblance is terrifying.

Growing up he was always a curiosity for others but he didn’t care that much really, following his grandfather’s stoicism in the face of life’s many challenges. As he grew older he learned to speak and write Italian, English, German and Russian. Currently he’s studying some Cantonese and Japanese at the same time to expand his horizons, but it’s slow going. He also inherited all his grandfather’s technical and engineering skills, his books and other teachings were vigorously taught to Alfredo as he grew up. Suffice it to say that his skills are sufficient for the tasks at hand and he continues to improve.

When he turned 18 Alfredo joined the Waifuwehr according to his grandfather’s wishes. None of his other siblings wanted to join and he seemed the most predisposed towards the role. Now at the age of 26 he is an Officer and has a small group of friends and fellow officers with him at the Waifuwehr. He usually hangs out with Soma and some others whenever he’s not in the motor pool or his own room. His own personal collection of books and machines is nothing to balk at either, having everything from an armored car to an actual working (most of the time) bike tank. He’s quite proud of that actually though he would never say so.

With continuously improving technology and the ever shifting nature of warfare in the present day, it’s a new challenge to face that not even his grandfather’s advice can totally comprehend. Alfredo works hard everyday to learn and eventually contribute to the Waifuwehr efforts wherever and whenever it becomes necessary.

He hasn’t truly proven his metal yet, but he secretly hopes he’ll never have to. The stories of war from his grandparents and what he sees on the news hasn’t filled him with confidence. More than anything he dreads failing when the time comes, be it for himself or his comrades. But as the saying goes, war never changes.
